Itinerary

We start our city tour departing from your hotel heading for Table Mountain or Signal Hill. Enjoy the crisp air and clear visibility as you reach the summit (weather permitting and cable car for own account). Our guide will point out the highlights of one of the worlds most famous views.

After the decent we enjoy a scenic coastal drive through Clifton and Sea Point to the city centre where we visit Green Market Square, stretching our legs with a walk through the Company Gardens.

The tour continues with a drive past the Houses of Parliament, the City Hall, The Castle and Slave Lodge, before entering the “Bo Kaap”, also known as the Malay quarter. The architecture in this area is typical of what Cape Town was like 200 years ago.

We ascend Signal Hill to witness firing of the noon gun (only during morning tour, not available on Sundays and Public Holidays).
Should you be interested, we can then take you on a short diamond tour where we learn about the history of these sparkling gems before returning you back to your hotel.

Please Note: We advise our clients to pre-purchase cableway tickets online here, which could save valuable time on this half day tour.

.We tried African Blue on the recommendation of a friend and had a wonderful morning seeing the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, Rhodes Memorial, Castle of Good Hope, Noon Day Gun and Bo-Kaap before being dropped off at the Mandela Gateway for a Robben Island Tour. Our guide, Duncan, was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, tailoring the trip to match our wishes against prevailing weather conditions which had closed the Table Mountain cableway. He went on to provide superb advice on the best way to visit the Cape Peninsula (where we saw him again with another client) and Table Mountain when the weather cleared a few day’s later. He went on to provide superb advice on the best way to visit the Cape Peninsula. I can’t speak too highly of African Blue – they were excellent!

“Table Mountain w/ Highlights of Cape Town (city tour + table mountain)”

This is the tour to see the jaw dropping landscapes of Cape Town!! Matt was our guide, and he went above and beyond to make the tour a smashing success. When there were technical issues with the Table Mountain cable car, Matt adopted the tour and took us to other highlights, then brought us back for the stunning sunset atop Table Mountain once the cable car was fixed. If you do just one tour, do this one as it gives you a taste of what the city has to offer in one day.
