Come and experience the Greater Kruger National Park area for 3 adventurous days. Depending which of our favourite Lodges we happen to utilise for your booking, you could stay in either a Chalet, Room, Rondawel (African Hut) or even romantic Tented accommodation. Be prepared for 4 game drives where you will have the chance to spot all of the Big Five. This safari takes place in the Greater Kruger National Park which runs along the unfenced western border of the Kruger National Park and offers the same excellent African safari experience as the game is able to flow freely through the bush into these areas.
We leave Johannesburg from O. R. Tambo International Airport at 06:45 am and head north towards the vast wilderness of the Kruger National Park and the safari hub of Hoedspruit, where a short while later we will arrive at the Greater Kruger National Park Entrance Gate and you’ll climb aboard open safari vehicles for the short drive through the reserve to the lodge. Check in, freshen up, enjoy some lunch and prepare for your evening game drive starting around 3:30 pm (winter) OR 4:30 pm (summer). Home to the ‘Big Five’ as well as 147 species of mammals, reptiles and birds, prepare for an amazing experience. Using all their senses & experience, your Ranger will seek out the animals and stop for anything of interest, possibly the spoor of hunting lions or a herd of dazzling zebras. Sunset time is enjoyed on a vantage point with some sundowners and snacks, before we change into night mode and using flashlights, search for the secretive nocturnal creatures of the bush like a sleek genet or unforgettable view of a leopard. Upon returning to the Lodge, a blazing fire and yummy dinner awaits, along with your first night’s sleep in the wild and untamed African bush.
Your Ranger will awake you with coffee, tea and rusks before heading out into the sunrise to see what has been happening in the dead of night and follow spoor of animals on the move. You will also be lead on foot to discover sights which you would miss from a vehicle. Vervet monkeys, birds in song, this truly is a beautiful way to bring on a new day in South Africa. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and possibly relax around the pool for the morning or recline upon a chaise lounge overlooking the waterhole.
We repeat the previous evenings cycle and head out again in the late afternoon for another game drive.
Enjoy an early morning game drive with your experienced game ranger, pursuing the animals not yet ticked off your list.
After your game activity you will return to the lodge for breakfast before heading to the entrance gate to connect with your return shuttle pick up at 11:00 am. Leave the park and travel back to Johannesburg, arriving at around 6:00 pm.
Please note that this is a shuttle service and not a private transfer service. You will be sharing the transfer with other passengers in a 13 seater Toyota Quantum. Pick up and drop off times are fixed and cannot be changed to suit your own arrangements. The shuttle takes a direct route with only a couple of brief drink and toilet stops along the way on your 5 hour journey to the Kruger area.

We absolutely loved the Safari experience, way beyond our expectation. The lodge staff was really warm and friendly, with high attention to detail with the food, cleanliness and our overall confort. The drives are truly something unique to experience, especially if you´re not used to the wildlife. I 200% recommend anyone to take the tour. Last but not least I want to highlight African Blue Tour´s outstanding service.
Thank you for everything David! All the best!

We had the most amazing time, the whole trip from start to finish was so well organized and I highly recommend it.
Once arriving at our safari camp we were greeted by our host Eswe with refreshing beverages and shown inside. The camp itself is beautiful with a wide open deck and pool overlooking a water hole frequented by many types of animals. Each day we were treated to delicious food and 3 course meals prepared by our camp chef. The dawn and dusk drives were magnificent and I could not speak higher of the trackers and our guide Matthew. They went above and beyond to make sure we got the most out of our experience and we were very lucky to see so many animals up close. Matthew was incredibly knowledgeable of this environment and was more than happy to answer all of our questions. Everyone we encountered at the camp was warm, friendly and made us feel very comfortable.
We could not have been more blown away by the quality of our safari, we truly did not want to leave!
Thank you so much for all your help with organizing our wonderful trip.

Thank you for your help with the organisation –everything was exactly as you said. The shuttle very efficient and provided an inexpensive way to complete the journey. The lodge was much better than I had expected with a herd of elephants coming to the water hole several times a day making for spectacular photos. The staff were lovely and as a solo traveller you are always a bit worried about staying anywhere but here they made me feel part of the family. I manage to see 3 of the big 5 which in 2 days was pretty good going and many, many more animals beside.
I can’t thank you enough for the efficiency and support you gave before my trip –I know I asked a lot of questions and you always answered promptly and with courtesy –I am planning to return to south Africa in the future and will certainly be in contact again then.

“Just wanted to say, regardless of the weather, we had a wonderful experience and had the most awesome guide and spotter. Due to protests in a town we were originally scheduled to pass through, we were diverted and arrived almost 4 hours late. (Driver was exceptional as well) In spite of this we were treated to a light meal ( we had been on the road 8 hours) then very comfortably escorted on an amazing evening safari. While my daughter and I were only able to spend the one night our guides made every effort to ensure we had the finest experience possible. We saw the best of what they had to offer even stopping at night to show us a chameleon hiding in a tree. Very detailed and informative. By the time we left the next morning we had seen an abundance of animals only lacking the leopard of the big 5.
Will most definitely come back to the same lodge if able to return to South Africa again.”

“Wow – I’ve been on five safaris (in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa), and this was by far the nicest, most intimate lodge I’ve ever stayed in. It was a wonderful way for my husband to experience his first safari! The place was absolutely delightful, with enough space for chatting with guests or getting away for some quiet time. Our game guide, Tom, was friendly and passionate about his work, and made the drives interesting and fun. We would go back in a heartbeat.”

“We loved our trip to Kruger! It was perfectly organised, thanks for that. Both lodges were really nice, good staff, good food. Even if we prefer the Enkoveni ; -)
About the game drives. We saw the big 5 after the 2nd drive so perfect. But I have to say Aean from the Enkoveni was really, really good to explain the animals and he wants to see animals. Thanks for everything it was such a nice expérience.”
