“I can’t say enough good things about David Smith and African Blue Tours. My friends and I had had a wonderful 3-day safari in Kruger through them in 2006, so I reached out to them again when I knew that I’d be going to Cape Town for a conference, and I wanted to add a week’s holiday for my husband (who’d never been to Africa before). We signed up for four of the trips offered on the website:
1) the day trip to the Cape Town townships and Robben Island
2) the day trip to the Cape of Good Hope
3) the 3-day trip to greater Kruger National Park
4) the day trip to the Cradle of Humankind and Lesedi, outside of Johannesburg (the day of our night flight home).
David and company took care of all of the arrangements, including transfers and the hotel in Joburg. Each of the trips was well-planned, very interesting, and led by exceptional guides; the entire week became the trip of a lifetime. When we go back to South Africa again (and we will!), we will rely on the travel acumen of African Blue Tours, since we know whatever trips we choose will be well-run, exceptional and affordable.

A few day trips with this team made me addict to SA.
With Matthew we spent a fabulous day exploring the West Coast National Park and the Cape Peninsula. Thanks to him we discovered the beautiful landscapes of SA.
And then with Duncan who was so patient, caring, passionate , we discovered the Tsitsikamma region, had a fun day kayaking , walking on the suspension bridge at Storms River Mouth and then on the garden route where he showed us such a beautiful route.

I brought a group of 20 senior cricket fans to Cape Town for the Newlands Test on 03/01/2010.
I was in contact with David Smith of African Blue Tours by email to arrange trips for the group on New Years Day and on the 2nd of January. On both days he was our guide and gave us the benefit of his local knowledge having been brought up in Camps Bay. The bus provided was a 25 seater comforable with Aircon and a personable driver.
The Cape Peninsula tour was everything I asked you for, taking in Camps Bay, Hout Bay, Chapmans Peak and Cape Point. We returned via the Penguins at Boulders Beach and had a pleasant drink on the quay at Simonstown.
The Winelands tour highlight was the cellar tour and tasting at Seidelberg, which was David’s idea. They provided local cheeses and Italian meats with the tasting, at 11 am. Boschendal wine tasting and Le Picnic for Lunchwas also good in a wonderful setting under the trees. We returned via Stellenbosch and called in at Spier to see the Cheetah Outreach project, look in the shop and have a drink. Our two days out were enjoyed by all the group, and I have no hesitation in reccommending African Blue Tours as your trip organiser in Cape Town.
