The 4 star Chalets accommodate 2 guests each, two of these chalets are furnished with queen size beds and the remaining five with twin beds. The chalets are also equipped with mini-bars, safes, air-conditioning and fire places, offering a more intimate lodging experience.

There are also Ambassador Chalets, an Ambassador Suite and the new Kughana Luxury Tented Camp, please advise if you have the budget for these more expensive options.

Lodge Rooms:
There are the 3 star Lodge rooms, in total there are 8 of these rooms which can accommodate varying amounts of guests. There are triple rooms available (furnished with a double and a single bed), twin room as well as a family unit which accommodates 5 guests (two inter-leading rooms with one en suite bathroom, 1 room furnished with twin beds and the other with a double and a single bed).

Take advantage of heading through our beautiful Cape Winelands by upgrading to Private transfers which will allow for a later start to the day, travelling over scenic mountain passes, optional wine tastings and exploring the villages of Wellington, Tulbagh, Franschhoek, Paarl & Stellenbosch to name a few.
Private transfers can be provided at an additional cost:
R 8 400 per vehicle (1-3 persons)
R 10 000 per vehicle (4-6 persons)
R 12 000 per vehicle (7-13 persons)

All transfer rates are inclusive of both directions.

All safari options close to Cape Town are in newly established private game reserves and cannot be compared to a safari in a more established game viewing area like Kruger National Park which has been around for a hundred or so years. These options fill a very important role in the safari market by offering those persons who have never been on safari and who do not have the time to visit a more established reserve the chance to view Africa’s wild animals sometimes for the first time.

Muslim Clients: Inverdoorn is not Halaal due to there being pork and alcohol on the premises, however the meat and chicken are sourced from Halaal certified suppliers.

Standard transfers
depart early in the morning (05:45 – 06:45am with the day visitors) and return the next day in the late afternoon (5:30 – 6:30pm with the day visitors), operated mostly by an affiliate company.

What Clients’ Say

We really appreciate our clients feedback on their African Blue experience as we are constantly striving to improve our service levels and selection of tour and safari experiences.

“Fantastic 2 day tour!”
5 of 5 stars
3 March 2018
We booked through African Blue Day Tours and had the pleasure of Duncan’s company for the two day excursion to and from Inverdoorn. We have to say that Duncan was a great and fun guy to be with. He accommodated and structured our tour to perfection, from stopping off at points of interest, proving us with his extensive knowledge of the surrounding areas, to taking those all important pictures of my wife and myself together. He even organised a lovely picnic on the return journey from Inverdoorn to Camps Bay. Perfect. Thanks so much Duncan for everything, if and when we revisit Cape Town again we will be looking you up!

“African Blue Was Great!”
5 of 5 stars
Reviewed 1 May 2013
We booked two day tours with this company and both were perfect. The van was comfortable, the guides very friendly and knowledgeable, and the tours perfectly planned. David worked with us to plan a trip to the wine country and put together an itinerary that suited our needs. He went the extra mile to secure additional spaces for us on a tour to Inverdoorn, and the route he chose for our return to Cape Town was a highlight of our stay. I highly recommend this tour company !
