If you are a little short on time but still wish to taste some great local wines, the Constantia and Kirstenbosch tour is the perfect solution combining two of South Africa’s famous landmarks.
Groot Constantia Estate
A walkabout Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens
The Boomslang tree canopy walkway
The Constantia valley is only 15 minutes from the City and a perfect fit for those persons that want an authentic winelands tour yet have limited time available. The half day tour includes a wine tasting at the oldest wine estate in the country, Groot Constantia with its list of award winning wines. We also visit the world famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens for a nice walkabout about this flagship garden of Africa (can substitute this for a 2nd wine tasting)
We don’t stop for lunch on a half day tour and no wine tasting permitted for anyone under 18 years.

We really appreciate our clients feedback on their African Blue experience as we are constantly striving to improve our service levels and selection of tour and safari experiences.
“Trying to plan an event from overseas in a foreign country is daunting and stressful. I was given the task to research and plan a trip through the Stellenbosch wine country: a task that took hours across multiple days cross referencing sites and whittling out the paid tourism posts on the internet. Skip all of this, and hire David.
David guided my group of 10 through wine country on a 3-stop day trip and it was the most comprehensive day on our South African holiday. I highly recommend hiring a small, local company like African Blue Tours because you get an authentic local’s perspective of the area. Aside from showing up on time, providing great, comfortable transportation, the conversations we had with him gave amazing insight into the politics, culture, and geography of South Africa.
Had I known better, I would have skipped all the research, worry, and planning and just had David take us to his favorite spots. I highly recommend letting him take the reigns when planning your wine country trip and let yourself sit back and enjoy your trip! African Blue Tours has the range across a wide variety of South African activities so just call them first!”
