We collect you from your hotel or Johannesburg Airport and travel via Dullstroom to Marc’s
Treehouse Lodge. There you board an open Land Cruiser for a Sunset Drive on Motlala Game Reserve. After dark, spotlights are used to locate nocturnal animals.

Dinner and overnight Marc’s Camp.

After breakfast you travel in an open-sided vehicle to the Orpen area of Kruger National Park. The
added elevation and absence of windows allows for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. Your qualified guide will show you various animals, large and small, that frequent this outstanding wildlife paradise. The zone of Kruger you visit has the highest percentage population of giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and impala that attract numerous lions and other predators.

Dinner and overnight at Marc’s Camp.

We have an early morning bush walk along Klaserie River accompanied by an armed ranger. You will be shown various interesting details of the bush, including insects, spoor and scats. You have an excellent chance of encountering Nyala, Buffalo and other game on foot.

After breakfast, we depart for a quick detour along the famous Panorama Route visiting the awesome Blyde River Canyon and the Three Rondawels (09:30 – 10:00am). We return to Johannesburg in the late afternoon, starting with drop offs around OR Tambo Airport and then onto other areas as listed in “Please Note” below.

Marc’s Tented Camp is rustic living at it’s best, your tent is supplied with bed and bedding, towel and soap, electric light and fan.

This is certainly not a luxury safari camp, but a good budget friendly option with emphasis on game viewing. There are no drinks included in this package and the lodge runs a cash bar so please make sure you have enough cash available for your stay.

There is also the option of a Fly-in safari using either Phalaborwa or Hoedspruit Airports, with airport transfers included.

“Great service and tour”

David always answered to all my emails and questions very quickly. He provided great service and I also ended up really enjoying the tour that I booked through him to Kruger Park (3-day tour plus Blyde River Canyon). There are many tour operators in South Africa and it was hard for me to compare and choose one – if you are in the same position, look no further and book through African Blue Tours, you won’t regret it.

“Amazing 12 days in South Africa”
5 of 5 stars
Reviewed 7 June 2016
We have just returned after a 12 day trip to South Africa. Our entire trip- 3day Kruger Safari and Blyde River Canyon tour, Cape Town and 5 day garden route tour was entirely managed by David Smith and how well he managed it. Our tour guide for 7 days was Duncan Petre an excellent gentleman, professional, friendly and very flexible. His knowledge shows his passion for his profession. Travelling extensively with 2 kids is never easy but Duncan made it so and I must mention, David was himself present at the airport to pick us and he himself drove us back to the airport at 5.30 am in the morning for our return journey. I have never come across an owner who does this personally for his clients. Kudos to African Blue…..stay blessed and go miles guys….
