The Cape Duet is the perfect option for those with only 1 day available, but want to squeeze in both the Winelands and Peninsula tours in the same day.
We start with a drive along the beach road past Clifton and Camps Bay to picturesque Hout Bay, and continue on via Chapman’s Peak Drive which offers amazing views. The steep cliffs plunging into the icy Atlantic Ocean, and waves crashing against the rocks is an incredible sight. Then to the tip of Africa at the spectacular Cape Point Nature Reserve, followed by the Simons Town area to view the Boulders Penguin Colony (own account).
Then we head out to wine country and enjoy a cellar tour followed by a cheese and wine tasting at the beautiful Anura Wine Estate. Our tour continues into the historic town of Stellenbosch with its picturesque white gabled Cape Dutch architecture. The pretty streets and lanes are lined with old oak trees. The town boasts a large university with energetic students offering a contrast to the old-world feel of the town. If time permits our guide will choose a second estate for another wine tasting before heading back to your hotel.
The Cape Duet is only recommended if you are on a very tight schedule as it is a combination of two half day tours put together and involves a return to the City at midday for changeover between tours.
The above itinerary may be reversed at the discretion of our office.
No wine tasting permitted for anyone under 18 years.
We suggest enjoying a more relaxing full day Cape Peninsula tour with a separate Cape Winelands tour if you have the time available… Or we can offer you a private Cape Peninsula Tour with a wine tasting in the Constantia Valley to spend your time with another glass of wine, rather than shuttling to and from Stellenbosch.
This tour is not available on the 8th March 2015 due to the Cape Town Cycle Tour.
This tour is not available on the 4th April 2015 due to the Two Oceans Marathon.
